Grown in the dry belt of Kinnaur around Pooh and Namgia, on old trees that need very little attention.

Harvested and shelled by hand in autumn, sorted at home rather than at a facility.

Eat as they are, skin on.

Soak overnight and peel if you prefer them soft.

Crush into milk, halwa, or a thick winter drink.

Almonds are one of the signature crops of Kinnaur's dry belt, and one that's steadily losing ground to apples.
